Blue Zones Herbal Teas were inspired by centenarian’s gardens. All of the herbs we use are native to the Nicoya Peninsula and contain many medicinal attributes.
Burbark and Spearmint: helps decrease cold symptoms. Burbark is a plant that, when boiled, releases mucilages and has been used to reduce jaundice due to the increase in bilirubin in the blood as a result of certain liver disorders. It has also been used for the treatment of stomach inflammation. Peppermint is a plant with natural antioxidants that is recommended against colic respiratory infections, gas, stomachache due to heaviness and nausea.
Burbark is a beautiful shrub surrounded by perfectly round leaves with small yellow flowers; it grows wild all overthe Nicoya Peninsula.
